Depeche Mode dispensa apresentações! Ingleses, oriundos de Basildon, formaram-se em 1980. Inicialmente compostos por David Gahan, Martin L. Gore, Andrew Fletcher e Vince Clark. Este último abandonou a banda após o lançamento do primeiro álbum "Speak & Spell" e formou depois os Erasure. Para substituir Clark apareceu Alan Wilder que viria a sair também em 1995 e continuou com o seu projecto Recoil. Uma grande perda para a banda, na minha opinião.
Sou capaz de dizer que os Depeche Mode não seriam ninguém sem Daniel Miller, assim como a sua Mute Records não seria ninguém sem Depeche Mode.
É uma banda precursora do Synth-Pop, sem esquecer que foram evoluindo à medida que os tempos pediam. Ainda hoje são considerados grande influência para diversas bandas.
Apesar dos enormes sucessos atingidos durante estes 30 anos de existência, destaco os discos "Music For The Masses" e "Violator".

Depeche Mode is a band that needs no presentation! They are english, founded in Basildon, in 1980. The initial line-up consisted of David Gahan, Martin L. Gore, Andrew Fletcher and Vince Clark. This last mentioned name departed from Depeche Mode after the releasing of their debut record "Speak & Spell" and then he formed the band Erasure. To replace Clark showed up Alan Wilder who also departed the band in 1995 and then he continued with his own project called Recoil. In my opinion it was a great loss for Depeche Mode.
I dare to say that Depeche Mode would be no one without Daniel Miller and his Mute Records would be no one without Depeche Mode.
It is a pioneering band of the Synth-Pop, but we can't forget that they had to evolve with the times. Nowadays, they are still considered a great influence for other bands.
In spite of the great achievements they reached along these 30 years, I highlight two records: "Music For The Masses" and "Violator".
